Home Theater
By choosing Cooper Technology Group you are getting a team of experts to design and install a home theatre you will be able to enjoy with friends and family for years to come. You get a personal relationship with our company, meaning if you have any questions or concerns you will be speaking with someone that knows how your system was put in, what kind of equipment you are using. As technology advances there are many options for the homeowner which can be very daunting, we can work with you to upgrade your system. We know what still works and what has become outdated.
Most homes today have a primary “video” watching area, where the family can watch TV shows, and stream video from providers like Netflix, HULU, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV. These areas can be a dedicated space like a home theater room or more commonly the family or living room area.
Dedicated Home Theaters usually contain a large screen, a high definition projector mounted on the ceiling, a surround sound receiver/amplifier and a group of speakers, either seen or unseen. The equipment we use depends on the budget and room where the system is being placed. We use quality brands like Samsung, LG, Epson, Integra/Onkyo, Denon, Niles, Polk Audio, Triad, Martin Logan to name just a few. With our extensive experience, you can be confident that your system will perform to your liking. In many cases the equipment for the theatre or living space is remotely located out of the way, so as not to be unsightly or take precious space in living areas.
Many home theaters are now using very large screen TV’s instead of projectors and screens as cost go down on the 80-90 inch range. This usually lessens the total cost of ownership, and maintenance on the system, as most projectors require bulb replacement and other upkeep.
Many primary watching areas, such as family rooms, living rooms, and dens, are increasingly using a soundbar speaker system for their theater sound needs. These units mount below or above the flat panel TV and can provide great sound. Some makers have the option of adding rear wireless speakers, and subwoofers. We use makers like Sonos, Denon HEOS, Bose, and Polk Audio – all of whom provide great solutions. Additionally, these soundbars are able to stream thousands of internet music offerings and stations.
For the video portion of these rooms, we also offer a complete line up of Samsung, Sony and LG flat panel TVs with competitive pricing and the best installation.
Multi-Room Audio
Many of our customers truly enjoy having their music woven throughout their home and surrounding outdoor spaces. They get even more enjoyment out of their relaxation areas, when they can do things like sit outside on the deck and tune into their favorite radio station, controlling everything without even having to leave their chair.
Being able to turn on your favorite music, switch selections, and control the volume all from a smart phone, or tablet makes operation very simple. You can stream music direct from your devices, as well as listen to your favorite services like Pandora, Spotify, SiriusXM, iHeart Radio, etc. Play different music in various rooms, or play the same music in all your rooms.
For multi-room audio solutions, we usually use hardwired in-wall or in-ceiling speakers wired back to the music streaming amps, which can be installed in out-of-view spots, like the basement or utility area. We use brands like Niles and Triad for these flush speakers. They blend into your décor, and have grilles that are paintable to make them almost disappear.
For outdoor applications we use cube-type surface-mount weatherproof speakers, and in landscaping we use speakers that look like rocks, or planters which are functional for planting flowers or other greenery as well as audio reproduction.
